HENGMU Expands Its Manufacturing Footprint with Malaysia PM3 in 2026

马来工厂

Welcome to HENGMU

HENGMU’s manufacturing development in 2026 includes a new facility in Malaysia and PM3, a 2,200 mm-wide solventless silicone coating line. This addition extends the company’s production footprint beyond China and marks a further investment in the manufacturing of release materials.

The Malaysian site provides more than 5,000 m² of production space. Alongside HENGMU’s existing China operations, it adds a location for coordinating production, reviewing customer specifications and planning international supply.

PM3 Adds a New Dimension to HENGMU’s Production Layout

The establishment of PM3 is a key development for HENGMU this year. With a coating width of 2,200 mm, the line adds a wider-format coating capability to the company’s manufacturing resources.
For release liner customers, production width is one of several factors considered when reviewing an order. Required finished roll widths, substrate specifications and order quantities all influence how a production run is arranged.
The PM3 expansion provides an additional basis for these discussions. Available coating and slitting arrangements will be reviewed against each product specification, rather than assuming that the full equipment width applies to every material.

Solventless Silicone Coating at the Malaysian Facility

The Malaysian facility is equipped for solventless silicone coating, the process used to create a release surface on a suitable substrate. This surface allows an adhesive product to separate from its liner during converting or final application.

A coating line’s dimensions alone do not determine the performance of a finished release liner. Substrate properties, silicone formulation, coating conditions and curing all contribute to the result.

For this reason, material selection remains application-specific. Release behaviour must be considered together with the adhesive system, subsequent processing and storage conditions. The new facility extends HENGMU’s manufacturing capability while keeping these product requirements central to technical discussions.

Supporting Different Release Liner Requirements

HENGMU’s overall portfolio includes Glassine, SCK, CCK, PCK and MGK release papers, as well as PET release films. These materials provide different starting points for labels, adhesive tapes and other converting applications.

Customers may approach liner selection with different priorities. A label converter may focus on die-cutting, matrix stripping and dispensing. A tape manufacturer may place greater emphasis on adhesive compatibility, release behaviour after ageing and the sequence in which the liner separates from the adhesive.

The Malaysian expansion creates another production location to consider when reviewing such projects. Product availability from the site will be confirmed according to the substrate, coating requirements and finished roll specification.

Bringing Production Location into Supply Planning

An additional manufacturing location gives customers another option to discuss when organising their sourcing plans.

For new enquiries, HENGMU can review the required material, order volume, delivery destination and production schedule before confirming a supply arrangement. For customers evaluating a change in production origin, sample approval and specification alignment remain part of the process.

The objective is to connect manufacturing resources with the needs of each order. Lead times and shipping arrangements will depend on material availability, production scheduling and the selected transport route.

Reviewing Samples Before Commercial Supply

A release liner is evaluated as part of an adhesive construction. Two materials with similar basis weights or thicknesses can behave differently when combined with a particular adhesive or processed under different conditions.
Customers considering Malaysia-based supply are therefore encouraged to share their current specification and evaluation criteria. Relevant details may include:
- Substrate type, basis weight or film thickness
- Single- or double-sided release requirements
- Target release force and the associated test method
- Adhesive type and coating or laminating conditions
- Finished roll width, length and core requirements
- Ageing conditions and acceptance criteria
This information helps define a suitable sample specification and provides a clearer basis for comparing trial results before a commercial order is agreed.

Origin Documentation for International Orders

The addition of Malaysian manufacturing also makes production origin a relevant part of export discussions.
Documentation requirements vary by destination and shipment. Customers should identify any required certificates of origin or preferential trade documentation during the enquiry stage so that the applicable requirements can be reviewed.
Any preferential tariff treatment depends on the specific product, destination, rules of origin and supporting documents. The Malaysian facility should therefore be considered within the context of an individual supply arrangement, without assuming the same customs treatment for every order.

A Further Step in HENGMU’s 2026 Development

The Malaysian facility and PM3 coating line represent a concrete addition to HENGMU’s manufacturing resources in 2026. The development extends its production presence and provides further options for customers reviewing release liner sourcing and international supply.
HENGMU welcomes enquiries from manufacturers and converters interested in materials available from Malaysia.
